Delicious and healthy peanut butter banana bars made with just four ingredients, perfect for a quick snack or breakfast.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 3 pieces very ripe bananas
  • 0.25 cup smooth natural peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.25 cups instant or quick cooking oats
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment.
  • Mash bananas in a large bowl. Mix in peanut butter and vanilla.
  • Add oats, salt, and baking powder; stir to combine. Fold in 1/3 cup chocolate chips, reserve the rest for topping.
  • Pour batter into pan, smooth the top, and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool and cut into 8 pieces.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and sweetness.
