Ingredients

Dairy & Chocolate

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tablespoon cornflour
  • 6 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • ½ cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder
  • 1 cup warm water

Cake & Dusting

  • 15 pieces cake pieces
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions 

  • Mix sugar, cornflour, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
  • Heat chopped chocolate, milk, and cream; pour into dry ingredients while whisking.
  • Return mixture to saucepan, boil while whisking; set aside.
  • Make ganache by microwaving chopped chocolate and fresh cream, then stir until smooth.
  • Mix instant coffee with warm water for soak.
  • Layer cake slices in a dish, brush with coffee soak, add pudding, then repeat with ganache on top. Chill for 2-3 hours, dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

Ensure to chill the dessert for best results and dust with cocoa powder just before serving.
