A delicious baked pasta dish featuring jumbo shells filled with creamy chicken and ricotta, topped with cheese and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 1 box jumbo pasta shells (12 oz)

Oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)

Creams and Broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Garlic

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Cheese

  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 container ricotta cheese (15 oz)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Cook shells until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  • Make Alfredo sauce: melt butter, cook garlic, whisk in cream and broth, add Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix shredded chicken, ricotta, egg, and half of the sauce; stir in parsley.
  • Stuff shells with filling, arrange in dish, top with remaining sauce and cheese, then bake 20-25 minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle additional Parmesan on top before baking.
