A delicious baked pasta dish featuring jumbo shells filled with a cheesy meat mixture, topped with sauce and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 20 pieces jumbo pasta shells ((6 ounces))
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 24 ounces pasta sauce ((or homemade meat sauce))
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella (divided)
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg egg
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook shells and prepare sauce.
  • Sauté garlic and onion in olive oil, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Mix in pasta sauce.
  • Combine egg, ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley in a bowl. Spread sauce in baking dish.
  • Stuff shells with cheese mixture, place in dish, cover with remaining sauce, and bake covered for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover, sprinkle remaining mozzarella, and bake uncovered for 5-10 minutes until cheese melts.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and ensure shells are fully cooked before stuffing.
