1cupunsalted butter, softened
3largeeggs, at room temperature

4ripebananas, mashed
1cupbuttermilk
1.5cupschopped walnuts
Frosting
16ozcream cheese, softened
0.5cupunsalted butter, softened
4cupspowdered sugar, sifted
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
8ozwhite chocolate, melted and cooled
0.25cupheavy cream

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch pans.
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Fold in bananas. Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk. Fold in 1 cup walnuts. Divide batter and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Cool cakes. Beat cream cheese and butter, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, and white chocolate. Whip heavy cream and fold into frosting. Assemble cake, frost, and decorate with remaining walnuts.
Notes
Ensure bananas are very ripe for best flavor. Chill the cake before serving for easier slicing.
