Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound beef strips (sirloin or flank steak) (Opt for meats that absorb flavor well.)

Grains

  • 2 cups rice (brown or white) (Cook according to package instructions.)

Vegetables

  • 1 medium bell pepper (red or green) (Sliced for crunch and flavor.)
  • 1 medium onion (Sliced.)

Aromatics & Sauces

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) (Enhances flavor.)
  • 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce (For flavor.)

Cooking Oil

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (For cooking the beef.)

Seasonings

  • to taste salt and pepper (For seasoning.)

Garnishes

  • as desired green onions
  • as desired sesame seeds
  • as desired avocado

Instructions 

  • Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, cook beef until browned, then add garlic and sliced onion, cook until fragrant.
  • Add sliced bell pepper and soy sauce, cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve beef and vegetables over rice, garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and sliced avocado as desired.
