A quick and flavorful rice bowl featuring seasoned ground beef, colorful bell peppers, and fresh green onions, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Rice

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups water

Ground Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef

Vegetables

  • 1 red bell pepper red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 green onions green onions, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Aromatics & Sauces

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Garnish & Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Rinse the rice until water runs clear, then cook with 2 cups water until tender, about 15 minutes, then let sit covered for 5 minutes.
  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat, sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then add ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in diced bell pepper, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until peppers are tender.
  • Fluff the cooked rice, serve in bowls topped with beef mixture, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Feel free to add a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
