Ingredients

Meat and Vegetables

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 red bell pepper red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion small onion, diced
  • 3 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish

Instructions 

  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess grease.
  • Add diced peppers and onion; sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic powder, ginger, and red pepper flakes; cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Add cooked rice; mix thoroughly and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce sodium content if desired.
