A flavorful and quick Asian-inspired noodle dish featuring tender beef and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Noodles

  • 8 ounces lo mein noodles (slightly undercooked)

Meat

  • 0.5 pound steak (New York strip)

Sauces & Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, (minced)

Vegetables

  • 1 large carrot, (washed, julienned)
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, (washed, julienned)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 2 green onions green onions, (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce

Instructions 

  • Slice beef into thin strips, marinate with soy, hoisin, salt, and pepper for 20-30 minutes.
  • Heat a large pan over medium-high heat, add oil, then cook beef until mostly done (about 2 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, cook garlic for 1 minute, then add vegetables and cook until softened (3-5 minutes).
  • Add hot water, soy, and hoisin sauces, bring to a boil, then add beef and noodles, tossing to combine.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with additional sliced green onions or sesame seeds.
