Delicious crispy nachos topped with seasoned ground beef and melted cheeses, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Main

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 2 onion onion, finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ounce packet taco seasoning
  • 2 16 ounce bags tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • optional toppings (jalapeños, tomatoes, beans, green onions, salsa, sour cream, guacamole) (as desired)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cook onion in olive oil until softened, then add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add ground beef, cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmer until liquid evaporates (~3 minutes).
  • Spread chips on baking sheets, top with beef mixture, then sprinkle with cheeses. Add optional toppings if desired.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese melts. Add fresh toppings and serve with sides.

Notes

Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
