Ingredients

Salmon

  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 each lime (Juice of 1 lime)
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 small carrot (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 0.5 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 0.5 lime juice of ½ lime
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 each corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 each avocado slices
  • Extra cilantro (for topping)
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Optional pickled onions

Instructions 

  • Pat the salmon dry, then rub with olive oil, lime juice, and seasoning. Let sit 10 minutes.
  • Prepare slaw by tossing cabbage, carrot, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, hot sauce, lime juice, and garlic powder for the sauce.
  • Cook salmon in a skillet 4 minutes per side until flaky, then break into chunks.
  • Warm tortillas, then fill with salmon, slaw, avocado, and sauce. Garnish with cilantro, pickled onions, and lime wedges.

Notes

For extra flavor, char the tortillas slightly over a flame.
