Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet dry active yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions 

  • Mix warm water and yeast; let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine flour, salt, and olive oil; add yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  • Let dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Shape dough into a loaf and place in a greased pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a crustier bread, bake at a higher temperature for the last 5 minutes.
