Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
Cook butter over medium-low heat until golden brown, stirring frequently, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat.
Whisk cocoa powder and vanilla into the browned butter until smooth. Beat eggs and brown sugar until pale, then fold in the butter mixture.
Fold in flour, salt, and chocolate chips until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 25 minutes, testing for doneness with a toothpick. Cool before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking.
