A simple and flavorful buttered cod recipe perfect for a quick dinner. Tender fish topped with buttery seasoning and fresh lemon.

  • 1.5 lbs cod fillets (cut into smaller pieces)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp onion powder
  • 0.75 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper
  • 0.5 lemon lemon (juiced)
  • Fresh parsley chopped parsley
  • Lemon slices lemon slices

Instructions 

  • Combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Season the cod with the spice mixture.
  • Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook cod for 2 minutes.
  • Lower heat, flip cod, add remaining butter, and cook 3-4 minutes.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice, garnish with parsley and lemon slices.

Notes

Be careful not to overcook the cod to keep it tender.
