This Cajun Honey Butter Salmon is a deliciously spicy and sweet dish that is quick to prepare and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon (skin on)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ lemon juice
  • to garnish fresh parsley (chopped)
  • to serve lemon wedges
  • to garnish black sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Pat salmon dry, rub with olive oil, and season with Cajun seasoning and salt.
  • Heat skillet over medium-high, sear salmon skin-side up for 3 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan, add honey, soy sauce, and garlic; simmer and add lemon juice.
  • Pour sauce over salmon, cook while spooning sauce for another 3-5 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley, lemon wedges, and sesame seeds; serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the salmon marinate in the Cajun seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking.
