This flavorful Cajun salmon and shrimp dish combines bold spices with fresh lemon and herbs for a quick, impressive meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb large shrimp

Main spices

  • 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning

Cooking oils

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon lemon juice + slices
  • 2 tbsp butter

Herbs

  • Fresh parsley or green onions

Instructions 

  • Pat salmon and shrimp dry. Rub 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning on salmon; toss shrimp with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning.
  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet. Cook salmon skin-side down 4 min, flip 3 min. Remove and set aside.
  • Add remaining oil, sauté shrimp 2-3 min until pink. Add garlic and butter, cook 1 min.
  • Return salmon to skillet, squeeze lemon juice over everything. Garnish with herbs and lemon slices.
  • Oven Option: Preheat to 400°F, arrange on baking sheet, drizzle with oil and seasoning, bake 12-15 min.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the seafood with seasoning for 15 minutes before cooking.
