Apple Filling
3mediumapples, peeled, cored, and finely diced(preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
1tablespoonjuice of ½ a lemon
⅓cuppacked brown sugar

2teaspoonschai spice mix
4tablespoonsunsalted butter
½cuppacked brown sugar
2tablespoonsheavy cream
1teaspoonchai spice mix
½teaspoonsea salt
Instructions
Prepare the dough by combining warm milk, water, sugar, yeast, and melted butter. Mix in flour, chai spice, salt, and eggs; knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
Meanwhile, toss diced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, salt, and chai spice. Cook in butter until caramelized, then stir in heavy cream and cook briefly.
Roll out the dough and spread the apple filling evenly over it. Cut into pieces and arrange in a baking dish.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Optional: drizzle with caramel sauce or additional cream before serving.
