Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment.
Melt butter, then whisk with sugars. Add egg, yolk, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
Whisk dry ingredients, then fold into wet. Add carrots and pecans, mix gently.
Pour batter into pan, bake 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
Beat cream cheese and butter, then add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread frosting over cooled bars and garnish with pecans.
