Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt

Wet ingredients

  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Gruyere)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh herbs (chives or parsley)
  • ¼ cup melted unsalted butter

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Combine milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl.
  • Fold in cheese and herbs into wet mixture.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients; fill muffin tins and bake 18-20 mins.
