Cheesy Ground Beef Pasta Skillet

A delicious one-pan meal featuring ziti pasta, ground beef, and melted mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 2 cups ziti pasta (cooked see notes)

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef

Seasonings

  • 1 tbs extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp crushed red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley (plus more for garnish)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain without rinsing.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and brown beef for 2 minutes. Reduce heat, season, and add garlic, onion, chili flakes, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, parsley, and reserved water. Simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  • Toss in pasta and 1 cup mozzarella. Top with remaining cheese, cover, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For best results, do not rinse the pasta after cooking.
