A creamy and cheesy chicken Alfredo made effortlessly in the slow cooker, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (prefer Kerrygold for richness)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper (prefer freshly ground)
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lb chicken breast (boneless, skinless)
  • 8 oz penne pasta (cooked separately)
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese (freshly grated, not pre-shredded)
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions 

  • Add salt, pepper, garlic, chicken, butter, cream cheese, and chicken broth to the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours until chicken is tender.
  • Shred the cooked chicken and stir in cooked penne pasta and Parmesan cheese.
  • Cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use Kerrygold butter and freshly grated Parmesan.
