Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flour for dredging flour (for dredging)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
  • 0.5 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (or more, to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (or more, to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup full fat sour cream
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Cube chicken breasts, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then dredge in flour.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet, cook chicken until golden, then remove and set aside.
  • Sauté onions and mushrooms until soft, then add minced garlic and Dijon mustard, cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in chicken broth, scrape browned bits, return chicken to skillet, simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Lower heat, stir in sour cream, cook for 2-3 minutes, season with salt and pepper, then serve.

Notes

Serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
