A quick and flavorful stir-fry combining tender beef, sweet onions, and savory sauces, perfect served over rice or noodles.

Beef
1lbbeef flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
Vegetable Oil
2tbspvegetable oil
Aromatics
2clovesgarlic, minced
1tbspginger, minced
Sauces and Liquids
2tbspsoy sauce
1tbspoyster sauce
1tbsphoisin sauce
1tbspcornstarch mixed with water(for thickening)
1tspsesame oil
0.25cupbeef broth or water
0.25tspblack pepper
Vegetables
1largeonion, thinly sliced
Garnishes
to tastechopped green onions(for garnish)
optionalsesame seeds(for garnish)
Instructions
Marinate the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and black pepper for 10 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large pan. Stir-fry beef in batches for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry onions for 4-5 minutes until soft and caramelized.
Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Mix in sauces, beef broth, and cornstarch slurry. Return beef to pan and stir to coat. Cook 1-2 minutes until thickened.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
Use high heat for stir-frying and serve immediately for best flavor.
