Delicious and moist muffins packed with ripe bananas and chocolate chips, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Bananas

  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed

Dry ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with liners or grease.
  • Mix mashed bananas and sugar in a bowl. Add melted butter, milk, and egg; stir well.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Divide batter among muffin cups.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in tin 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

For extra moist muffins, do not overmix the batter.
