Ingredients

Apples

  • 4 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Wash, core, and slice apples into thin wedges. Arrange in dish.
  • Mix melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Drizzle over apples.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender and caramelized. Stir halfway.
  • Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra sweetness, sprinkle with additional brown sugar before baking.
