Instructions
Pour oil into a deep skillet and heat to 350–375°F. Mix cinnamon sugar in a shallow bowl.
Whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, maple syrup, egg, and oil; whisk until smooth.
Peel, core, and slice apples into ½-inch rings. Pat dry.
Dip apple rings into batter and fry 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
Toss fried apple rings in cinnamon sugar and serve.
