Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 tbsp water

Lettuce

Instructions 

  • Wash and dry lettuce leaves.
  • Heat oil and cook turkey until browned.
  • Add garlic, ginger, and onion; cook until fragrant.
  • Stir in water chestnuts and green onions, then add sauce and simmer until thickened.
  • Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves and serve.
