A hearty and flavorful dish combining tender corned beef with sautéed cabbage and spices, perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can canned corned beef
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 medium tomato (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 diced and de-seeded scotch bonnet pepper (optional) (optional)
  • a dash black pepper (optional) black pepper (optional)

Instructions 

  • Wash and shred the cabbage.
  • Sauté diced onion in oil until translucent.
  • Add cabbage, tomatoes, black pepper, water, and stir.
  • Cover and cook for 7 minutes until tender.
  • Add de-seeded Scotch bonnet pepper (optional).
  • Stir in corned beef, break it up, and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Serve with rice, plantains, or make sandwiches.

Notes

This dish is quick to prepare and full of flavor. Adjust spice levels to taste.
