Delight in these flaky, buttery scones packed with dried cranberries and sliced almonds, perfect for breakfast or tea time.
Ingredients

unsalted butter (cold)

whole milk (or low-fat milk with heavy cream)

chopped dried cranberries

milk or heavy cream (for brushing)
Instructions
Mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Add cold butter and blend until crumbly.
Add eggs, vanilla, almond extracts, and milk; mix until just combined. Fold in cranberries and most almonds.
Shape dough into a ball, roll into a circle about 3/4" thick, and cut into 8 wedges.
Place wedges on a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush tops with milk or cream, and sprinkle with remaining almonds.
Freeze the scones for 30 minutes, then preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden.
Cool slightly and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of sugar on top before baking.
