Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper
  • 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 whole garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 beef bouillon cube or 1 teaspoon beef bouillon cube or Better Than Bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions 

  • Slice chicken into thinner pieces, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then dredge in flour and Parmesan.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, sear chicken until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
  • Melt butter, add garlic cloves, and cook until golden and fragrant.
  • Add flour to the garlic, cook briefly, then gradually stir in chicken broth and seasonings to form a sauce.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, then return chicken to the skillet, simmer briefly, and serve garnished.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
