A rich and flavorful pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp in a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup pasta water reserved

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • for serving Lemon wedges

Instructions 

  • Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain.
  • Sauté shrimp in olive oil with seasonings until pink, then set aside.
  • Melt butter, sauté garlic, then add heavy cream and Parmesan, stirring until smooth. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Combine pasta and shrimp with sauce, then garnish with parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or more Parmesan.
