A delicious and creamy dish featuring tortellini in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 1 package refrigerated tortellini (9 oz)

Sauce

  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (15 oz)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • fresh basil for garnish

Instructions 

  • Cook tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan until combined. Add tortellini and stir to coat. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes.
