A quick and flavorful dish combining ground turkey with Cajun spices, vegetables, and a rich tomato sauce, ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • to taste Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions 

  • Prep all ingredients: dice bell pepper and onion, mince garlic.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook turkey 4-5 min until browned, season with half of Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Push turkey to side, add onion and bell pepper, sauté 2 min. Add garlic, cook 30 sec.
  • Stir in tomatoes, chicken broth, remaining Cajun seasoning, and paprika. Simmer 3-4 min until thickened.
  • Garnish with parsley or cilantro. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste and serve over rice or your favorite side.
