Meat

  • 1 pound Ground beef (Choose lean for less grease or mix with fattier cuts for extra flavor.)
  • 1 cup Long grain rice (Provides fluffy, separate grains.)
  • 1 medium Onion (Finely chopped.)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced fresh for best flavor.)
  • 14.5 ounces Diced tomatoes (Use canned or fresh.)
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste (Intensifies the tomato flavor.)
  • 1 cup Beef broth (Adds savory depth.)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika (Smoky and sweet.)
  • to taste Salt (Essential for flavor.)
  • to taste Pepper (Essential for flavor.)
  • 1 cup Bell peppers (Diced.)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley or cilantro (Chopped.)
  • 1 cup Grated cheese (Melt on top before serving.)

Instructions 

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned, then add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until softened.
  • Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in rice and diced bell peppers; cover and cook until rice is tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley or cilantro, and top with grated cheese before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of chili flakes or hot sauce.
