A quick and flavorful dish featuring seasoned ground beef served over jasmine rice with a savory sauce and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Rice

  • 1 cup uncooked jasmine rice

Ground Beef

  • 1 pound lean ground beef

Sauces and Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic minced

Vegetables

  • 1 red bell pepper chopped

Garnish (optional)

  • scallions, sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, ginger, and garlic.
  • Add chopped red bell pepper and cook for a few minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Serve the beef mixture over rice and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

You can customize the spice level by adjusting the sriracha amount.
