A quick and flavorful dish combining tender beef, vegetables, and rice, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Rice and Vegetables

  • 2 cups cooked white rice (preferably day-old)
  • 8 oz beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced into strips
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, diced bell peppers)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions sliced, reserve some for garnish
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, but recommended)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet. Cook beef strips 3-4 minutes until browned, then set aside.
  • Add remaining oil, scramble eggs until just cooked, then set aside.
  • Sauté diced onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add mixed vegetables and cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Add rice, stir-fry 3-4 minutes. Return beef and eggs, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  • Stir in sliced green onions, garnish with reserved green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

Adjust soy sauce and seasoning to taste for best flavor.
