A quick and flavorful homemade chicken fried rice recipe perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Rice and Proteins

  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 3.75 lbs chicken breast (sliced into thin strips)

Vegetables and Aromatics

  • 1/2 cup diced white or yellow onion
  • 4-6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 tbsp green onions sliced

Eggs

  • 2 pcs eggs

Instructions 

  • Slice chicken into thin strips, sprinkle with salt, and set aside. Beat eggs in a bowl.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook eggs until set, then break into small pieces and set aside. In the same skillet, cook chicken until done, then remove.
  • Add more oil if needed, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Add cooked rice, breaking apart chunks.
  • Stir in chicken bouillon, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Add vegetables and cook for 1-2 minutes. Return chicken and eggs to skillet, stir to combine.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best results and avoid overcooking the garlic to prevent burning.
