These soft and fluffy dinner rolls are perfect for any meal, offering a buttery and tender bite every time.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 240 ml warm milk (Make sure the milk is warm but not hot.)
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 7 g active dry yeast (Ensure yeast is fresh.)
  • 75 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg large egg
  • 5 g salt
  • 30 g additional melted butter (For an extra buttery flavor.)

Instructions 

  • In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the softened butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  • Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into rolls and place on a baking sheet.
  • Brush the rolls with melted butter and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For softer rolls, let the dough rise longer or brush with butter after baking.
