A delicious and easy French toast recipe perfect for breakfast or brunch. Crispy on the outside and soft inside, topped with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Dried ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (, or half-and-half)
  • 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 Tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon butter (, for greasing the griddle)
  • 12 slices thick bread (, I prefer brioche)

Instructions 

  • Blend milk, flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth. Transfer to a shallow bowl.
  • Preheat griddle to 350°F (175°C). Grease with butter.
  • Dip bread slices into egg mixture, coat evenly, then cook 2 minutes per side until golden.
  • Serve immediately with toppings of choice.

Notes

Use thick bread like brioche for best results.
