Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Mix in rice, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt remaining butter in a small saucepan. Whisk in milk, cheddar, and Parmesan until smooth.
Pour cheese sauce into the beef and rice mixture, stir thoroughly, and cook uncovered for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with parsley if desired.

For a creamier texture, let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.
