Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3-4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ¾ lb pasta (any kind, uncooked, about 340 grams)

Garnish

  • fresh chopped parsley and cracked black pepper (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook in oil until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Whisk in flour, then gradually add heavy cream and chicken broth, simmering until thickened.
  • Cook pasta until al dente, then drain and add to the sauce along with Parmesan cheese. Slice chicken and add on top.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and cracked black pepper before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan and fresh parsley.
