A delicious and hearty pasta dish featuring tender steak and a flavorful garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 225 g linguine or fettuccine

Steak

  • 300 g sirloin steak (or ribeye/new york strip)

Garlic

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Butter and Oil

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan (optional)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted water until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Season steak with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil for 3–4 minutes per side. Let rest.
  • Melt butter in the same pan, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in red pepper flakes.
  • Add pasta to the pan and toss with garlic butter, using reserved pasta water to loosen.
  • Slice rested steak thinly against the grain.
  • Plate pasta, top with steak, and garnish with parsley and Parmesan. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the steak marinate for a few hours before cooking.
