Ingredients

Dried ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups cups white whole wheat flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 ½ tsp teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ tsp teaspoon salt
  • 1 tbsp tablespoon orange zest (about 1 large orange)
  • 2 tbsp tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ½ cup cups plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp tablespoons honey
  • 3 tbsp tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tsp teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup cups fresh cranberries, diced
  • 2 tsp teaspoons nonfat milk

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or silicone mat.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and orange zest. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add yogurt, honey, orange juice, and vanilla; stir just until combined. Fold in cranberries.
  • Shape dough into a ¾-inch thick circle on the baking sheet. Brush with milk and cut into 8 wedges (do not separate). Bake for 18-21 minutes until golden. Cool briefly before serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use certified gluten-free flour.
