Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (divided)
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (for sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for sauce)

Instructions 

  • Mix 1/2 cup yogurt, olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, black pepper, salt, and chopped parsley to make the marinade.
  • Pound chicken to 1/2-inch thickness, coat with marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high. Remove chicken, press extra parsley onto both sides, and grill 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through.
  • Rest chicken 5 minutes, then slice. Mix remaining yogurt with chopped parsley and a pinch of salt to make the sauce.
  • Serve sliced chicken with yogurt sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Marinating the chicken overnight enhances flavor and juiciness.
