A delicious and nutritious casserole packed with lean ground turkey and spinach, topped with melted cheese for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey

Dairy

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, freshly shredded (Divided: ½ cup mixed in, ½ cup for topping)
  • 1 egg beaten egg

Vegetables

  • 5 oz fresh spinach, chopped or whole
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • to taste Black pepper Black pepper (to taste)
  • ½ cup diced red bell peppers (Optional for added crunch)
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (Optional for creaminess)

Optional Substitution

  • mozzarella cheese mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar (Optional substitution)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook ground turkey in a skillet until browned, then stir in cream cheese, spinach, garlic powder, salt, and red bell peppers. Mix well.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish, stir in ½ cup shredded cheddar, and top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with Greek yogurt if desired.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add Greek yogurt before baking.
