A hearty and flavorful dish combining ground beef, cabbage, and tomatoes, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 1 large head cabbage (shredded or roughly chopped)
  • 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 1 large onion (diced)
  • 1.5 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 lean for best flavor)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup beef broth

Instructions 

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until softened.
  • Add chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Pour in beef broth and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cabbage is tender and flavors meld.
  • Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.

Notes

You can add a dash of hot sauce or sprinkle some cheese on top for extra flavor.
