Instructions
Pour water into a large pot, add apples, raisins, spices, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
Scrape orange peel, press out orange juice, and mash apples slightly. Add orange zest and juice to the pot.
Continue simmering for another hour, then turn off heat and cool slightly. Strain the cider and add vinegar and molasses if desired.
Reheat before serving and garnish with sliced citrus and apple slices.
Notes
Adjust sweetness with molasses and serve hot for best flavor.
