Ingredients

Apples

  • 4 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)

Oats

  • 0.5 cup rolled oats

Nuts

  • 0.25 cup chopped pecans

Sugar

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Butter

  • 1 tbsp melted butter

Vanilla

  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract

Water

  • 0.25 cup water (for baking dish)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Core apples, leaving bottoms intact. Mix oats, pecans, sugar, cinnamon, butter, and vanilla.
  • Fill apples with mixture. Place in baking dish with water.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until tender. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use firm apples for best results and serve warm.
