Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 large oranges (Fresh, high-quality oranges recommended for best flavor.)

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup ground almonds (Weigh for accuracy, as almond sizes can vary.)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (or melted butter)

Optional toppings

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.
  • Boil the oranges for 30 minutes, then blend until smooth.
  • Mix orange puree with ground almonds, sugar, baking powder, salt, and eggs.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Allow to cool, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
