These soft, buttery dinner rolls infused with garlic and parsley are perfect for any meal or special occasion.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup whole milk (240g), warm (around 110°F)
  • 3 teaspoons active dry yeast or instant yeast
  • cup sugar (70g)
  • 3 ¾ cups all-purpose flour (490g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened at room temperature (85g)
  • 1 egg yolk egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • ¼ cup salted butter (57g)
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1–2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley

Instructions 

  • Warm the milk and dissolve yeast with a pinch of sugar; let sit until frothy.
  • Mix in sugar, eggs, salt, and softened butter; gradually add flour to form a soft dough.
  • Knead the dough until smooth, then let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Divide dough into 12 pieces, shape into rolls, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Mix garlic and parsley into melted butter; brush over the rolls before baking at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush with garlic butter again after baking.
