This Juicy Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce is a delightful dish that combines perfectly seared ribeye steaks with a rich and flavorful garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Steak

  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (smashed)
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions 

  • Pat the steaks dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet, add olive oil, and sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Add butter, smashed garlic, and herbs to the skillet, spooning melted butter over the steaks. Remove and let rest.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté minced garlic, then stir in cream and bring to a simmer. Add cheese, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Slice the steaks against the grain and serve topped with the creamy garlic sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the steaks marinate in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for a few hours before cooking.
